Sobre o evento

Borba grew up with wine and this set the tone for the highest moment of PARTY in the county. For 25 years, Borba's Vine and Wine Festival has been celebrated, bringing hundreds of visitors to our city during the nine days of the event.

Wine and Viticulture are promoted in the most diverse fields and knowledge, from the outset:

– Associated with typical Alentejo and Borbense cuisine, in the restaurants present at the Festa, in appetizers and in the Tascas Circuit and in associated and highly participated gastronomic competitions, either on the event's premises or in most restaurants in Borba; – Combined with certified regional products of excellence: cheeses, sausages, olive oil or bread, among others, in organized and informal Tastings that take place every day at the Festa.; – The Talha Wine, fruit of ancestral knowledge, with more than two thousand years of history, still made in our land, in several of the private and old wineries. On the first day of the Festival, we invite everyone to taste “Vinho de Talha”, made in the old winery of the municipality.

In November , by São Martinho, Borba is the capital of Alentejo Wines!

During the 9 days of the Festival, lots of entertainment is guaranteed (from musical performances on stage to street entertainment and sports events), taverns and excellent cuisine, certified regional products (olive oil, cheeses, sausages, among others), handicrafts and tastings. wines.

The Festival is organized by the Borba Municipality , together with the Alentejo Regional Tourism Authority, CVRA – Alentejo Regional Wine Commission and ATEVA – Alentejo Winegrowers' Association.

This is an EVENT with a huge history in Borba and Alentejo and the Municipality intends with this action to promote the best of the county, calling to Borba national and foreign visitors (especially Spanish neighbors).
