Giulio Cesari Russo, who would later receive the name of Lourenço de Brindisi, was born on July 22, 1559, in Brindisi, Naples. Curiously, he died on the same day, July 22, in the year 1619, on his 60th birthday, in Lisbon, on his second trip to the Iberian Peninsula.
